Ketel One Vodka - Nolet Distillery

Yay! Here's a photo that may actually make it to my blog. I just grabbed any old photo, and chose 'blog this photo'... ironic that it's of a distillery, and I don't drink (hehe)!

Add a photo?

I really, really want to add a photo to my blog, but the whole process is eluding me! I am working through Flickr, and I know it lets me add photos...I just can't recall how. Anyhoo, I'll get back to navigating the Flickr website, and see what I can muster up.

Nothing like a good hedgehog!

Hi all,

This is what I'm putting forward as my favourite recipe- I loove chocolate hedegehog! It should be known that I actually have lots of 'favourites'...anything consisting of sugar and chocolate is a contender.
I have also discovered that if you put a little orange juice in the icing, it becomes diviner still (also this recipe has far too little icing).

Chocolate hedgehog slice
Serving size: Serves 10 or moreCuisine type: Modern AustralianCooking time: Less than 15 minutesCourse: Cakes/baking
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ x 200g packets Marie biscuits, coarsely chopped1 cup chopped walnuts½ cup desiccated coconut250g butter, chopped1 ¼ cups caster sugar1/3 cup cocoa powder1 egg, lightly beaten150g dark chocolate, melted½ teaspoon vegetable oil
METHOD
1. Grease a 20cm x 30cm lamington pan; line base and two long sides with baking paper, extending paper 2cm above edges of pan.2. Combine biscuits, nuts and coconut in large bowl.3. Place butter, sugar and sifted cocoa in a medium pan; stir over heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; whisk in egg.4. Pour chocolate mixture over biscuit mixture; mix well. Press into prepared pan. Cover; refrigerate overnight.5. Turn slice onto a chopping board; cut into pieces. Spoon combined warm, melted chocolate and oil in a small snap-lock plastic bag. Squeeze chocolate to one corner; twist bag, then snip tip of bag. Drizzle chocolate over top of slice; refrigerate for 15 minutes, or until chocolate is set.Hint: Slice can be made up to four days ahead; store in an airtight container in your refrigerator.

I'm still here!

Oops...as usual in the techno world, time has gotten away from me! I think "I must continue the webolution", and then I get side tracked. But here I am - I'm back- and hopefully going to be a bit more consistant.

Wow! That was easy!

So here I am, joining the Webolution... and setting up this blog was easy-peasy!

Like many new projects I find myself facing, be they big or small, my instant reaction is to procrastinate whole-heartedly until I can bear the pain no longer! And so it has been with starting my blog. I can also feel quite intimidated by technology, especially when I have had no previous experience. Having said that, I am quite excited to learn about new(ish) technology and look forward to all things webolutionary. Many thanks to Katie D for pushing me ever further into the 21st century - viva le Webolution!

I am hoping to update this blog on a regular basis, but if anyone has ever tried to be my friend on Facebook, you'll know that I live a hermit-type existence (hehe).
